Titled Elemental Equanimity, this sculptural installation invites viewers to contemplate how the earth shapes us as we shape the earth. Using natural and altered earth elements of clay, bamboo and stone, Elemental Equanimity addresses the paradox of movement and stability. The dance of these materials with sculptor, viewer and each other speaks to the yearning for composure arising from acceptance of the richness and impermanence of the present moment. |
