| Belfast artist Ben Potter was included in the latest Center for Maine Contemporary Art Biennial and he was awarded a Good Idea Grant from the Maine Arts Commission. He currently is a Professor of Art at Unity College and has installed a three-piece sculpture in our Portland Gallery. His plywood sculptures are stacked, suspended and leaning to create the measure of his title HEAVY. His cut form investigations of landscapes have elevated the notion of what viewers have come to expect from the classic term "landscape" in visual art. |
